Laxmi Lube Oil Hosts Technical Meets for Over 700 Mechanics Across Five Cities
Laxmi Lube Oil convened technical workshops across five major cities, bringing together over 700 retailers and garage mechanics to discuss lubricant standards and engine maintenance.
Laxmi Lube Oil, the authorized national distributor of TotalEnergies lubricants in Nepal, conducted a nationwide technical outreach series that engaged more than 700 retailers, dealers, and private garage mechanics across five major commercial hubs, domestic media outlets reported.
The workshop series, titled the "Retailer and Private Garage Mechanic Meet 2026," was hosted in Birtamode, Itahari, Biratnagar, Birgunj, and Chitwan. According to reports from Setopati and Artha Dabali, the distributor framed the regional sessions not simply as commercial product demonstrations, but as an interactive forum to address practical automotive servicing challenges directly with technicians.
Attendance figures released by the company and published across Nepali news platforms showed widespread regional participation. Kendrabindu reported that more than 100 participants attended the Birtamode gathering, over 90 joined in Itahari, and upwards of 110 participated in Biratnagar. Combined attendance across the sessions in Birgunj and Chitwan surpassed 200 automotive technicians and retailers, bringing cumulative attendance across the five centers to more than 700.
Technical discussions during the meetings centered on proper lubricant selection and engine protection standards. As reported by Nepal Views, company technical facilitators emphasized selecting precise viscosity and lubricant grades that correspond to vehicle categories, engine configurations, local operating environments, and original equipment manufacturer guidelines. Participating garage operators and technicians also discussed shifting consumer preferences and practical mechanical diagnostics, while offering feedback based on their workshop experience with TotalEnergies product lines.
Laxmi Lube Oil has also been operating a parallel mechanic-engagement initiative dubbed "Garage Chautari," designed to foster continuous knowledge sharing and technical peer exchanges among garage proprietors and technicians across the country, Artha Dabali noted.
Following the conclusion of the five-city tour, company officials announced preparations to roll out the technical outreach program to additional urban centers across Nepal in the coming months.
