Kumari Bank Limited has signed a commercial agreement with Ramada Encore by Wyndham in Thamel, Kathmandu, to provide discounts and hospitality privileges to its account holders.
Under the partnership, customers using the commercial bank's services can receive price reductions ranging between 15 percent and 20 percent on food, beverage, and spa offerings at the Thamel hotel, according to reporting by Setopati and Corporate Nepal.
The alliance also introduces equal monthly installment financing options for patrons seeking to pay for hotel amenities over time. Additionally, customers who record an annual expenditure of at least Rs 15,000 at the property will be eligible for a complimentary birthday cake, while charges for outside cakes and corkage fees will be waived during family gatherings and private events held at the venue.
For higher-spending patrons, the agreement offers a complimentary one-night stay at the hotel for customers who spend at least Rs 50,000 at its restaurant facilities within a year, as reported by Lokaantar and Lokpath. Tailored discount schemes have also been incorporated into the hotel's designated family day-out and family stay packages.
Commercial banks across Nepal frequently enter promotional arrangements with hospitality, travel, and retail chains to encourage digital payments, card usage, and customer retention. These institutional tie-ups allow financial institutions to deliver non-interest perks to their retail depositor base while helping hospitality establishments secure recurring domestic patronage in central tourist districts such as Thamel.
Kumari Bank, which has been in operation for 25 years, stated that it continues to expand service collaborations to improve customer experience alongside its physical infrastructure. According to company disclosures reported across domestic media, the commercial lender currently operates an outreach network comprising 279 branch offices, 295 automated teller machines, 41 extension counters, and 40 branchless banking units throughout the country.
