Nepal Police Club, India's Khaira Volleyball Club Punjab, and Sabhapokhari Volleyball Club have advanced to the semi-finals of the second Madan Bhandari Cup International Invitational Men's Volleyball Tournament in Butwal. Nepal Police Club topped Group A after a five-set victory over Manimukunda Volleyball Club, while Khaira secured second place by defeating Sri Lanka Police Club, eliminating both losing sides. In Group B, Sabhapokhari clinched a knockout berth with a 3-1 win over Nepal APF Club.
The final semi-finalist remains undecided following the suspension of the Group B decider between Nepal APF Club and India's Gujarat Sporting Club. Officials halted the match at one set each because of insufficient lighting and poor visibility, rescheduling the conclusion prior to the semi-finals.
Organised by the Madan Bhandari Sports Academy, the tournament features seven teams following the disqualification of Galkot Volleyball Club. The winning team will take home Rs 700,000 alongside a running shield, with cash awards also designated for runners-up and individual standout performers.
