Franchises in the Nepal Premier League are finalising their squads and off-field partnerships ahead of the tournament's third season, set to begin on October 26. Janakpur Bolts confirmed the signing of former England all-rounder Moeen Ali as their fourth foreign player, joining overseas recruits Jimmy Neesham, Iftikhar Ahmed, and captain Harmeet Singh, according to reports from Annapurna Post and Nagarik News.
Other teams are similarly solidifying their rosters. Sudurpashchim Royals have retained captain Dipendra Singh Airee along with six core domestic players, while bringing back Scotland's Brandon McMullen to accompany foreign additions Scott Kuggeleijn and Saif Zaib, Nepal Khabar reported. The outlet noted the franchise is also in talks with South Africa's Heinrich Klaasen.
Off the pitch, Karnali Yaks secured Prime Consultancy and Services as an operational consultant for the upcoming season, Nagarik News reported. The franchise previously signed England spinner Mark Watt and Bangladeshi wicketkeeper-batter Akbar Ali to their overseas lineup.
